BRAM LEWIS / Director

Phoenix Theatre founder and artistic director Bram Lewis has worked with many renowned theatre luminaries including John Barton, Ellen Burstyn, Billy Crudup, Ruby Dee, Julie Harris, Ellis Rabb, Jason Robards, Elaine Stritch, among others.

Formerly, he served for a number of years on the Stratford Shakespeare Theater Board.  He also has a long history with John Barton of the RSC and Dame Harriet Walter which led him to produce Shakespeare workshops under the auspices of Kevin Kline at Bam and the Public.

Bram currently is the Producing Artistic Director of                             ‘The Schoolhouse Theater’. It is Westchester’s oldest non-profit professional theater.


Bram currently resides at Pomander Walk on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
